Enterprise Crowdfunding in Iranian Football Clubs: Applications & Requirements

Abstract

Crowdfunding is the practice of funding a project or venture by raising money from a large number of people who each contribute a relatively small amount, typically via the Internet. Crowdfunding has been Wildly used as a new method of funding for startups and new ventures. This paper seeks to study applications and requirements of applying crowdfunding in the Enterprises. The research method is qualitative , and Thematic analysis has been used to analyse convergent interviews with 22 expert in the field of crowdfunding & football club governance. Based on the findings , application of crowdfunding in football clubs can be categorized as idea generation,funding and creation of shared value. The identified requirements for using Crowdfunding can be classified in three main areas: technological factors, organization readiness and environment that enterprise is located in.
